The official name of our school is “Oni Bu-Jutsu Dojo” 鬼 武 術 道 場 which, when translated, means “demon warrior art training hall.” Although the word “demon” can have different meanings in Western culture, our real symbol is the Oni mask because we borrow their traits- we don the mask when necessary, to protect ourselves and those around us. Not because we become violent people, but because we learn how to wield violence as a tool for the good of ourselves and our communities.

I welcome my students to learn as many forms of martial arts as they like. I love to grow the martial arts community in Calgary and sometimes team up with other instructors for seminars.
Please keep in mind that if you’re training with me, you’re learning from me, and when you are training with another instructor you are learning from them. -
