About

Hi, I’m Elijha Harding

It all started when I was visiting a small dojo half an hour away from my hometown, my first class had me hooked immediately, I quickly joined every available class they had. I worked every day after school and full-time every summer to afford paying for my own martial arts training.

I’ve trained with many high-level martial artists across a large number of styles, including grand masters and pioneers in the Canadian martial arts community and teachers over the border in the US, and across the sea in Japan and the Czech Republic.

As head instructor of Oni Dojo, I have been training in martial arts since age 13 and now hold a 2nd degree black belt in Bujinkan Ninjutsu, level 6 Completion of Art in Taboada Balintawak, and lesser ranks in several other arts. I offer my full accumulated years of training and experience to every student.

I have been teaching martial arts for over 12 years and have hosted seminars, group classes and private classes. I’ve worked in security and have real-world self defense experience.

I’m passionate about making martial arts accessible to everyone.

I host private 1-on-1 classes in my home. The Dojo is well equipped with training dummy, rattan sticks, rubber knives, training swords, boxing gloves, focus pads, kicking pad, padded floors, a mirror, student library where you can borrow books, whiteboard, and everything we could need. You’re welcome to book a free trial class and come tour the space.

Located in a quiet suburb with free street parking.

Tao of Peace

On Sunday mornings we have a Taboada balintawak training group class held at the Tao of Peace, a beautiful open space with lots of natural light and mirrors. Come make friends, socialize, and practice Balintawak with other adult students.
